While Nicki Minaj is readying debut album Pink Friday, she’s also gearing up for the MTV VMA. Young Money’s colorful barbie got all decked out in full I Love Lucy gear—including, naturally, a red Lucille Ball-esque wig—for these shots from the set of a VMA promo commercial.
Minaj, who is nominated for her first VMA ‘Best New Artist’ award, told Entertainment Weekly, “I don’t even have my album out and I’m part of the freakin’ promo!…Basically, they’re documenting my rise and paralleling that with my journey, literally, to the VMAs.”
